Internship Course Web Conference Reflections

Week 1
Throughout my experience with the online program, I have found the web-conferences to be extremely beneficial. One benefit is the ability for students to interact with each other and with the professors. They placed faces with names, making the experience more personal and real. Another benefit was the ability to clear up any questions about assignments. I often found that when I felt I was completely lost and behind, there were many others in my same position. This relieved a great amount of stress. The difficulty was finding time to attend, but when I was unable to attend, the professors were kind enough to post the recorded conference, which often answered any questions I had.
This first web conference I was unable attend, however was able to gain a better feel for the course and the requirements. The one item discussed that will help me immensely is the checklist. This has helped me plan out the final five weeks of the program in terms of workload and due dates.

Week 2

Again, the recorded web conference was very helpful this week. I was unable to attend the live conference, but thanks to my professors, I was able to have some of my own questions answered. The main issue this week was the clarification of the Horizon Report, which helped me for the Comprehensive Exam. Other than that, most of my work was already complete my the time of the conference. This has been a very helpful tool for my Lamar distance education experience.
